In-Home Care Services in Aston, PA

Aston, PA, located in the southwest of Delaware County, is one of the oldest townships in the country. Aston was first settled in the year 1682 as a municipality and was incorporated as a township in 1688. Originally called Northley, Edward Carter, the constable of the township at the time, changed the name to Aston in 1687 in honor of his old home of Aston in Oxfordshire, England.

Aston covers approximately seven square miles of land. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a population of roughly 16,700 and has grown significantly since the year 1870 when the first census was taken, and only 1,845 people lived there. Ashton has a rich history and even has a place in the books as being a part of the Revolutionary War! In colonial times, the Seven Stars Inn, served as overnight quarters for British forces fighting George Washington’s army in the Battle of the Brandywine, and served many other soldiers throughout the years as well.

We are excited to be able to serve Aston by providing care services with the local touch that Aston provides. A recent census found out that 10.6% of households in the area are occupied by someone who is both living alone and 65 or older. With that being said, there is a high demand for home care, and that number is only going to increase as time goes by! Our caregivers want to keep your senior as happy and involved in the happenings of the community as possible! Whether it’s grabbing a bite as Aston Diner, taking a stroll through the Aston Memorial Gardens, or getting a pretzel from Pretzel Boys, our caregivers are dedicated to keeping your loved one out and about in town!

With our interactive caregiving approach, our team works with your loved one to find an in-home care aide that fits perfectly with his or her needs. We are able to figure this out by interviewing your loved one and those close to them on a variety of factors including their personality, hobbies, likes and dislikes, and more. This ensures that our care providers and your loved ones are able to get the most out of our care solutions, and your senior’s social needs are met. This also gives your senior a quality of life that is much greater than it would be with a typical in-home care provider.

Our caregivers provide interactive companionship and personal home care that help clients stay mobile and independent. Performing in-home care duties such as housekeeping, doing laundry, helping with meal preparation, giving medication reminders, and bathing and dressing are among the services that keep your loved ones happy and healthy during their everyday lives. We also offer a variety of caregiving services such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care, end of life care, and transitioning home care.

At Comfort Keepers, we want to be able to provide your loved one with extended and short-term home care while providing a more fulfilling life from the comfort of their own home. If you would like to learn more about our care services or how our in-home care team may able to help your loved one, feel free to contact us for more information at 610-543-6300.
